Roma market, Betis serious about Dovbyk: 2 counterparts offered

Artem Dovbyk’s adventure at Roma seems destined for the end credits. The Ukrainian striker has never found the right feeling with coach Gian Piero Gasperini, who has only deployed him as a starter three times in Serie A and three times in the Europa League since the beginning of the season, with poor results: only two goals have been scored by the former Girona man. Dovbyk, however, remains very desirable abroad with numerous Premier League clubs interested but not only: according to reports from fichajes.net, in the last hours Betis has also made moves to bring the Ukrainian back to Spain.
The management of the Spanish club, which needs to reinforce the offensive department, is convinced that the powerful Giallorossi center forward could be the right man to turn things around in the scoring department. The main crux of the negotiation, however, concerns the economic aspect: Roma is not willing to sell off a player bought a year and a half ago for more than 30 million euros. Thus, Betis has made an offer that includes the inclusion of two technical counterparts, in addition to a cash part, to reduce the expense.
They are two strikers: the first name is that of Cedric Bakambu, an experienced Congolese striker born in 1991 who has worn the jerseys of prestigious clubs such as Olympique Marseille, Villarreal and Galatasaray; the second profile is Chimy AvilĂ , a 31-year-old Argentine striker, little used by coach Manuel Pellegrini. The involvement of these two players in the operation would make the agreement between the parties easier. Negotiations are still in the early stages, but the Andalusian club is serious about Dovbyk and contacts continue.
Dovbyk is not the only player leaving Roma, which is reportedly in talks with Brighton over Evan Ferguson’s loan break. One of Bailey and Baldanzi could also leave the capital. The Jamaican is failing to contribute on a continuous basis, partly and mainly because of ongoing physical discomfort that is affecting his performance.
Tsimikas could also leave: the player has ended up behind Angelino and Rensch, so much so that he has not seen the field for quite some time now. He, too, arrived on loan (from Liverpool). The feeling is that a solution is being sought away from Rome.
