Juventus market, another obstacle for the arrival of Luciano Spalletti’s protégé

Among Juventus’s market priorities is the purchase of a new central defender: Luciano Spalletti wants to strengthen the backline and has asked Marco Ottolini to sign Kim Min-jae in the upcoming summer soccer session. The South Korean is not finding much space in Germany and would like to return to Italy to revive his career. To do so, however, he will have to significantly reduce his salary: he currently receives almost 8 million euros net per season if we also consider bonuses.

To make even more noise is the slap slapped back at Lois Openda

"If a coach allows himself to do something like that is because the relationship with the player allows him to do it, there's a lot of communication", Del Piero pointed out after the game

There is, however, a new obstacle on the road to Kim Min-jae’s return to Serie A and it is represented by Chelsea: new coach Liam Rosenior wants to revolutionize the Blues’ backroom and has already decided that he will dispose of Benoît Badiashile, Axel Disasi and Tosin Adarabioyo. Following this strategy, the’purchase of a new defender is obvious to all and Kim Min-jae is a profile particularly liked by the new English team helmsman. The player could leave Bayern Munich for between 20 and 30 million euros, plus Chelsea could guarantee the South Korean an equal (or slightly lower) salary than his current one.

In addition to Juventus, Milan had also inquired about the possibility of signing Kim Min-jae: Massimiliano Allegri wants a new defender but the South Korean has a salary outside the parameters set by the Diavolo and it will be necessary to look elsewhere to reinforce the Rossoneri rearguard. The opportunity could come from Wolverhampton: the club is dead last in the Premier League and many champions have already decided that they will not follow the team to the Championship in case of (very likely) relegation. Among them is Toti Gomes.

Portuguese born in Guinea-Bissau, the 1997 class grew up in Estoril and was bought by Wolverhampton in 2020 for just under one million euros. The English club decided to immediately turn him over on loan to Grasshoppers, Switzerland, and did not call Toti back to base until January 2022.

In recent years the defender has grown a lot and has been noticed by several clubs. In the event of Wolverhampton’s relegation, Toti could leave the club at a bargain price and Milan does not want to miss the big chance, which is why Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani could move as early as in the coming weeks for an exploratory contact with the Portuguese’s entourage.
