The transfer of Tommaso Baldanzi to Genoa has been unblocked: the class of 2003 in the morning said goodbye to his now former Roma teammates and is ready to change jersey, so much so that he is already expected in the city of La Lanterna later today.

The breakthrough was linked to another transaction with the capital club. In fact, the deal also surprisingly included the class of 2006 Lorenzo Venturino, who is apparently very much appreciated by Giallorossi helmsman Gian Piero Gasperini.

The deal was also a surprise move.

Nothing to do instead for Verona. At the top of Paolo Zanetti’s list was the name of the offensive midfielder, who had already worked with the Veneto coach at Empoli and who at Roma, under the Piedmont coach, never found the space he would have liked. For Baldanzi, Torino had also moved.

Tuesday there&#8217s a summit involving Gasperini, sporting director Frederic Massara and CEO Ryan Friedkin: from the summit, as reported by Il Messaggero, it would have emerged the need for an extra element for the left side and among the hottest names, in this sense, is that of Niccolò Fortini, class of 2006, a Fiorentina player on the Italian National Under 21 team roster. However, the Tuscan club is asking 20 million for the outfielder, a figure considered too high to date for the Giallorossi club, which would seek more sustainable solutions.

There is no shortage of alternative solutions: in the background, in fact, there is also Yannick Carrasco, a Belgian former Atletico Madrid player, now playing for Al Shabab, a Saudi team: it is a profile of great international experience, which Roma is following carefully. However, the most important stumbling block in this case would be the player’s high salary, which would have to fall well below the current 13 million (excluding bonuses) he receives in Saudi Arabia.

Defense Chapter: Mario Hermoso’s injury, which will keep him off the field for about a month, brings back a reflection on Radu Dragusin, former Juventus player currently at Tottenham. The Romanian defender, as reported by Corriere dello Sport, has reportedly already spoken with Gasperini giving his consent to the transfer: they are working for a loan with right of redemption, although Tottenham prefers a solution that would allow them to obtain a financial income immediately.
