Como dominates and scores six times, Torino humiliated at Sinigaglia

The 22nd day of Serie A, after Inter’s 6-2 win against Pisa on Friday night, records another victory in tennis style: in fact, Como beats Torino 6-0, humiliating the granata at Sinigaglia in a match without history since the first minutes. It is the second consecutive success for the Larians, after the 3-0 win at home against Lazio, while for the granata it is the fourth knockout in a row in the league after the 0-2 at home against Roma. In the standings, Como fuels their European dreams while Toro remains in the mid-low zone.
Como started off strong right away and created dangers with Vojvoda, Baturina and Jesus Rodriguez, before taking the lead at 8 with Douvikas, who materialized a brilliant personal action. The Larians continued to push and found the double at 16′ with Baturina, free to kick at the first post. The sterile and confused Torino also lost Ismajli to injury on 21′ (in his place was Maripan) and never managed to react. In the first half, moreover, the Larians came close to scoring the third goal several times with Douvikas, Rodriguez and Vojvoda, but at halftime it went to 2-0.
The second half opened with a 2-0 lead.
The second half opened with Como still dominant: Fabregas’s team continued to grind out play, nullifying the very few Granata attempts without problems. Shortly before the quarter d’hour comes the final breaking point: a hand touch by Maripan leads to a penalty, confirmed by VAR, which Da Cunha converts with a left-footed shot under the cross at 59′. From there on it was a Larian monologue: Douvikas signed the poker by discarding Paleari at 66′, then Kuhn and Caqueret, at 70′ and 76′ respectively, rounded off the result bringing it to 6-0.
The scoreline was a one-goal game.
In the final, Como played on velvet, driven by the enthusiasm of a Sinigaglia cheering Fabregas and his team. The Larians, by the way, continued to attack despite the scoreline: Paleari avoided an even heavier loss on Kuhn, while Torino, by now resigned, just waited for the triple whistle.
The scoreline was a trifecta.
In the final Zapata at least tried to score the flagship goal, but Butez was alert on the Colombian striker’s goal. After only one minute of recovery, a one-sided match, dominated by Como from the first to the’last moment, thus ends. Torino, on the other hand, has only to reflect on a period that, Coppa Italia aside, is giving very few smiles to its supporters.
