Franco Morbidelli looks ahead with confidence

Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team

The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team was back on track for Day 2 of the MotoGP collective tests at Sepang International Circuit. The protagonist of the afternoon was the rain, which, however, did not prevent the riders from showing themselves comfortable and fast with the Ducati Desmosedici GPs in the early hours of the morning: Franco Morbidelli ended the second day in second position, followed by Fabio Di Giannantonio, third.

The F1 World Championship has arrived at the decisive moment

Satisfaction for Morbidelli, who continued to work with the new package in both dry and wet conditions with positive feelings. Despite the rain that affected the work in the afternoon session, Franco completed a total of 41 laps, the fastest of which was 1’56″983. With this time, faster than last year’s pole position at Sepang, the Italian-Brazilian closes the day in second position in the combined timesheet.

“It was a positive day, we managed to have a more normal feeling than yesterday. We also continued to improve the new package. As long as we could run in the dry, we were very fast, especially this morning in less hot conditions. Turning 56″ on this track gives confidence, it is always special, we will try to move forward from this point” Morbidelli said.

“On Thursday we will have more tires to use and more work to do that we were not able to complete this afternoon– he added -. But we did some laps in the wet also to get used to the bike in these conditions. The feeling was good and also the speed, so I am happy”.
