Stefan Effenberg surprised by the big market rumor

For several days now there has been talk of Leipzig’s and other big clubs’s interest in Rocco Reitz.
According to English media, Manchester United is also attracted to the talented youngster and would like to make a bid during the summer soccer session. The’indiscretion surprised Stefan Effenberg.
“Leipzig and other big clubs are interested in Rocco Reitz, but to convince them to make a bid he must offer good performances. He has been in crisis for several weeks. That is why I was surprised by the’interest shown” he ruled. Also of the same opinion is Markus Babbel: “His performance is erratic. He is a good guy, absolutely balanced, however at Borussia Mönchengladbach he does not always succeed in showing what he is capable of. He has great potential but he does not always manage to make full use of it in this team”.
According to BBC reports, Manchester United is reportedly considering a €40 million bid for Rocco Reitz: according to the Red Devils’ logic, the young German footballer could be the right man to take Casemiro’s place. In recent days the experienced Brazilian midfielder has publicly announced that he will leave United at the end of the season: “You have to know when a phase ends. You have to know when to say goodbye, when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever. Four months to give everything for this jersey and for our goal. Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans” he wrote on social media.
In the meantime, the English club is working to identify the right coach to make yet another revolution in recent years: the Red Devils’ performances have been well below expectations for several seasons now, and the many coaches who have changed are proof of that. After Alex Ferguson’s dominance (1986-2013), David Moyes (2013-2014), Ryan Giggs (4 games in 2014), Louis van Gaal (2014-2016), Jose Mourinho (2016-2018), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (2018-2021) came to the club’s bench, Michael Carrick (3 games in 2021), Ralf Rangnick (2021-2022), Erik ten Hag (2022-2024), Ruud van Nistelrooy (4 games in 2024), Rúben Amorim (2024-2026), Darren Fletcher (2 games in January 2026), and now there’is Michael Carrick.
