F1, Guanyu Zhou wants to get back into the points zone in Austin
Zhou hungry for points for U.S. grand prix
Guanyu Zhou, Alfa Romeo driver and teammate of Valtteri Bottas, spoke to the team’s channels ahead of the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin. Zhou currently sits in 18th place in the drivers’ standings and wants to return to scoring points after the last time dating back to the Monza Grand Prix where he scored one point, placing 10th.
Zhou said, “I am looking forward to Austin because it will be another track for me to discover. It was a pity we couldn’t get points at Suzuka, but at least we saw that we can still be close to the scrum pack-the pace shown was promising.”
He added, “Last week I spent a couple of days at our base in Hinwil preparing for the upcoming races with the simulator, and I am eager to get back in the car. We have more upgrades planned and hope the weather conditions will allow us to make the most of them. As always, Saturday’s qualifying will be important-we have every chance to fight back in close quarters and come back for points.”
