MotoGP, from Quartararo the statement you do not expect on Pecco Bagnaia
The statement you don’t expect from the world leader.
Fabio Quartararo experienced a very difficult Sunday at Silverstone, where he did not go beyond eighth at the British Grand Prix. A result that, although the MotoGP standings still smile widely on him, now sees him fear Pecco Bagnaia and Ducati as never before.
“I was afraid that the Long Lap Penalty would penalize me even more, but that was not the case. The real problem was the rear tire, a real nightmare. Because when I was behind more than one rider it overheated, and I had to ride differently than everyone else,” Quartararo confessed.
And the Frenchman sees a Yamaha in big trouble, so much so that he fears for the continuation of the MotoGP world championship: “We are behind in terms of top speed, acceleration, rear grip. The others have strengths that we lack. I don’t know how the others work, I know that in the last GPs we actually lost two races. And that makes Bagnaia much more in the fight for the title than before. However, I think we will have to get used to this situation.”
