Luca D’Angelo returns to Pisa and compares it to Real Madrid
D’Angelo had been on the Pisa bench from 2018 until the end of last season
Luca D’Angelo is once again the coach of Pisa. The coach from Abruzzo replaced Rolando Maran, who was exonerated after only two points earned in six days and the last position in the standings.
The former defender spoke to the official channels of the Tuscan club at the presentation press conference held on Wednesday, September 21.
“I am very happy to be here, because for me Pisa is worth like Real Madrid. And if Pisa calls you, you cannot, in the most absolute way, say no. I came back from a period where I detached a bit, especially initially, because I needed to rest. Now I’m here with a lot of stimulation even if we have to be realistic. We have to think one game at a time, trying to be annoying for everyone and knowing that there are all the prerequisites to do things right also because, and for this we have to give credit to coach Maran, I have found a team that is well and has worked well, prepared physically and well set at the level,” explained D’Angelo, recounting his feelings about receiving another call from the Nerazzurri.
