Team Gresini rider tries to see the glass half full
Enea Bastianini spoke to team Gresini’s official channels at the end of the Australian Grand Prix at the Philip Island circuit, where the Italian rider finished in fifth place despite starting from 15th on the grid after a difficult qualifying session.
“I’m half happy because we undoubtedly had a great race, but starting further ahead would have helped and not a little. Even just two positions would have changed the race. Anyway, we are happy, we had a great pace and we tried to make up a lot of positions in the race and, why not, some points in the standings. We remain in the running for the World Championship and as long as there is life, there is hope… now let’s go to Malaysia, focused on doing well, even on Saturday,” explained the centaur, who will be Pecco Bagnaia’s teammate next season.
