MotoGp, Danilo Petrucci points out a virtue of Pecco Bagnaia
Petrucci praises Bagnaia for always believing in it
Speaking live on Sky Sport, Danilo Petrucci commented on the gripping MotoGp season finale, praising in particular the tenacity of Pecco Bagnaia, who was able to make up 90 points to Fabio Quartararo, and now leads his French rival by 23 points with one race to go, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6, in Valencia.
Petrucci began, “Bagnaia and Quartararo are two good guys and two great riders. Fabio was better in the first part of the season, while Pecco was better in the second, especially because he believed in it at times when the Championship was definitely compromised and he was probably the only one who believed in it. Fabio, however, held on, in Malaysia he gave a great demonstration, although I think it will not be enough. In Valencia he has to win and hope for a zero from Bagnaia, but Pecco was very strong, in the second half of the season he brought out character, he was really good.”
“Arriving at the last race with the title still up for grabs is very stressful – continued Petrucci -. Pecco must not make mistakes, so he will try to do his usual race and in the last 5/6 laps he will decide what to do based on how he will be put. he has the advantage of seeing what Quartararo will do, which we remember he has to win. Fabio has nothing to lose but he has to win. It will be very difficult to put on the suit before the race for both of them.”
Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGpin debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he scored his first podium in the top MotoGP category at Misano.
The following year he switched to the official Ducati team and finished the championship in second place, behind the French Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo.
