F1, Ferrari: Mauro Forghieri will be honored with a sticker in Brazil
F1, Ferrari: “Ciao Furia” is the tribute for Mauro Forghieri
“Ciao Furia” is the wording of a simple sticker with which Ferrrari has decided to honor its great engineer Mauro Forghieri, who passed away last week at the age of 87. The sticker will be affixed to the sides of the F1-75s of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz at the Brazilian Grand Prix and alludes to the nickname invented by the Rossa’s mechanics for his sometimes overly heated temperament in the pits.
The sticker will also appear on the Ferrari 488 GTEs of Pier Guidi James-Calado – the #51 Rossa – and Miguel Molina Antonio-Fuoco – the #52 Rossa -, who are engaged in the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship to be run in Bahrain.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One World Championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA World Sport Prototypes and Endurance Championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
