Reyer Venezia, Gianluca Tucci highlights Trento’s strengths
Gianluca Tucci’s words on the eve of Reyer Venezia-Dolomiti Energia Trentino
Saturday, November 26 at 8 p.m. at Palasport Taliercio will be staged a great classic of recent seasons: Umana Reyer Venezia-Dolomiti Energia Trentino. Against the bianconeri, the orogranata have played three playoff series from 2017 to 2019, including a scudetto final, with 26 meetings in the last six seasons alone.
The two clubs have the same points in the standings (8) with the guests, the best rebounding team in Serie A, coming off a home loss to Virtus Bologna.
Orogranata assistant coach Gianluca Tucci told official channels this ahead of the challenge with Trento: “Trento is the team that takes the most rebounds in the entire league, both defensive and offensive, and certainly this is their strength. Even in the last game with Bologna, although it was lost, they dominated it under the basket. This is a team that also brings in rebounding small guys, so our work will be focused on that. Then they have key players from the offensive point of view, like Crawford, who we know very well and has already been MVP of the championship, and then Flaccadori and Spagnolo above all. A lot of teams focused on the outsides, though, but Grazulis and Atkins, the 4 and 5, made the difference. They are a lineup whose quintet plays a lot of minutes, from the bench Forray starts, who is a player who makes the difference, and then they have players more of intensity than talent, but these 5 have good chemistry and in the league they are doing well. So it will definitely be a game to be approached first and foremost with great physicality, especially our small guys. The most important task will be to keep their outside players rebounding and also back to the basket.”
