MotoGp, Quartararo vents: ‘Me alone against the world’
Quartararo: “Yamaha has now changed, show me.”
Fabio Quartararo in an interview with Manuel Pecino’s Youtube channel returned to talk about the just-concluded MotoGp World Championship: the French rider, clearly in the lead after the first half of the World Championship, suffered the comeback of Pecco Bagnaia and had to settle for second position: “I felt alone fighting against the world. There were four Yamahas on the track, but both the satellite team and my teammate had a lot of problems. I had no reference points.”
The Ducati’s growth was decisive: “In Misano for example last year I was three seconds behind Pecco and finished second; and this year I finished five seconds and fifth. It was very frustrating because I gave 100 percent.”
Yamaha is changing to react to Ducati’s dominance: “When I arrived Yamaha was a sweet bike, the one everyone wanted, an easy bike. In these three years the character has changed a lot, Crutchlow told me it was the most physical bike he had ever ridden. The mentality is changing and that’s why I renewed. But in these years they will have to prove it to me.”
