Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic: the secret of their success according to Rublev
A new rival, according to which the holy monsters have no intention of abdicating quickly.
Andrey Rublev is one of the up-and-coming names in great tennis, which still sees Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic as the two benchmarks of the entire movement. And according to the Russian it will remain that way for a long time to come.
“They are among the greatest of all time, and it is no coincidence that they became champions around the same time,” Rublev said about Nadal and Djokovic in an interview with ‘Clay.’ “Plus they have built up immense experience, which allows both of them to always act in the right way at the right time.
“Each person has his strong and weak sides,” Rublev added. “Someone maybe can less easily work on his backhand, and prefers to focus on his psychological limitations. For me, however, the mental aspect is the most complicated. There are those who do not accept that they have weaknesses, but knowing what one’s weakness is is a first step in dealing with it and overcoming it.”
