Dorothea Wierer, sincere admission despite podium finish

Dorothea Wierer outspoken about the progress of her season.

Dorothea Wierer finally celebrated a podium finish in a sprint race in the 2022/23 Biathlon World Cup (her only previous top-three finish was on December 4 in the pursuit in Kontiolahti), totaling among other things an immaculate run to the range. An important result, which returns confidence after a start of the season marked by few highlights.

“It’s definitely a positive start 2023, my form on skis is still not what it was at the beginning of the season before I got sick, but you have to be content – admitted the South Tyrolean champion to the official Fisi channels -. “I feel that there is still room for improvement, but I think it’s just a matter of time, on the shooting level I try to take care of as much as possible, in this format it is crucial not to make mistakes,” concluded Wierer.
