Milan, Mike Maignan’s return is an unknown: big ex exposes himself
Dida has no doubts about Mike Maignan’s return
Although Ciprian Tatarusanu is doing his best to defend Milan’s posts, there is no doubt that the Rossoneri’s cause lacks the personality and talent of Mike Maignan, the star goalkeeper of the 2021/22 Scudetto who, after being knocked out with the French national team in September, suffered a relapse of his injury and never saw the field again.
The return of ‘Magic Mike’, in fact, still remains an unknown but to expose himself trying to reassure the Rossoneri fans is, through the channels of Lega Serie A, Dida, Milan’s extreme defender in the first decade of the 21st century as well as goalkeeper coach in the tricolor season ended last May: “He will be stronger than before,” he said, “I spoke with him, he told me exactly these words. He has time to prepare well, he is overcoming the two injuries he had. He can still improve and he can still do a lot with the Milan jersey.”
Born in 1995, Maignan arrived at Milan in the summer of 2021, picking up the heavy inheritance of Gigio Donnarumma, who flew to PSG as a free agent: in his first year, the French goalkeeper won the Scudetto, replicating the success he had achieved in the transalpine league 12 months earlier with Lille.
