Manchester United creates ‘Cristiano Ronaldo law’
According to reports in the Daily Mail, Manchester United has created the ‘Cristiano Ronaldo law’. The rule stipulates that no footballer should receive a salary of more than £200,000 per week to prevent too much inequality within the team.
When he was in the Red Devils, Cristiano Ronaldo earned 480,000 pounds a week but such a situation will not happen again at the English club.
The first player who will be forced to significantly reduce his salary will be David de Gea. The Spanish goalkeeper earns 375,000 pounds a week and will be forced to adjust to the new rule if he wants to renew his contract.
