Trento, Lele Molin wants to dispel a taboo
Lele Molin’s words on the eve of Dolomiti Energia Trentino-Promitheas Patras
After the championship success in Brescia, Dolomiti Energia Trentino wants to score its first away win in the EuroCup as well, in the first round of the return leg, scheduled for Wednesday, January 11 at 6:30 p.m. against Promitheas Patras.
The coach of the Trentino team Lele Molin spoke this way in the press conference, “Promitheas has changed a lot since we faced them at the beginning of the season, but it remains a team that makes playing together its strength, that puts on a very choral and rhythm offensive basketball. In place of Young they inserted Thomasson, who has different characteristics but is a high-level player, as well as Hogue, whom we all know very well in Trento. But the nucleus of Greek players is not to be underestimated, they have physicality and experience and even in the first leg they hurt us: we will go on the court to try to put them in trouble, we have already played in Patras and we know that the fans are very hot and the environment will push our opponents.”
“The return leg of the EuroCup round begins, every game is played with the goal of taking crucial victories to recover and enter the playoff race,” Molin stressed. “We approach this match with the conviction that we have grown, with the enthusiasm of the Brescia success and with the full roster. We will try to have our say, with respect to a team like Promitheas that is solid and closed above 50 percent in wins in the first round. Of Brescia’s performance we have to repeat our defense, which was very careful, made of communication, correct readings, intensity, and collective work: this allowed us to withstand Brescia’s comeback and to make up for our offensive breaks in some moments. There is to improve on some aspects such as lost balls or offensive rebounds conceded, every opportunity is good to show steps forward.”
