Virtus Bologna, Sergio Scariolo blunt about Olympiakos: “They play the best basketball.”
Black Vu coach outspoken about Olympiakos
Virtus Bologna coach Sergio Scariolo presented the challenge valid for the 19th day of the Euroleague, which will see the Bologna team engaged on Thursday evening, Jan. 12, against the Greeks of Olympiakos, currently in fourth place in the standings with a record of 11 wins and 7 losses. The Black Vuere are coming off a home defeat on Tuesday the 10th at the hands of Zalgiris Kaunas.
“Olympiacos is probably the team that played the best basketball in the first round, on both ends of the court. They have great ball sharing and a lot of energy on defense. We will have to play a great game against them, treat the ball well since they are one of the best teams in forcing turnovers with some players, like Walkup, who are very good on the passing lines. Against their defense we will have to be good at moving the ball and putting it in the best areas of the court to force them to move and allow us to be ready to take good shots. In front of us we have a great challenge: in front of our fans we have the responsibility to play our best and approach the game in the right way. Nothing is a given but we will have to fight hard to compete,” Scariolo explained to the official channels of the Bologna club.
