Olimpia Milano, Ettore Messina spurs his team: ‘Let’s deserve the support’
Messina spurs his team ahead of Zalgiris
After two consecutive away games, Olimpia Milano returns to play at the Forum di Assago in the Euroleague and will face an opponent in great shape: Zalgiris Kaunas fresh off a win against Virtus Bologna and currently in seventh position in the standings of Europe’s top club competition, with 10 wins and eight losses.
The coach of the Milanese team, Ettore Messina, presented the challenge, which will be played on Friday, January 13 at 8:30 p.m., during the press conference on the eve of the game: “We face a team that is playing well, has pride and high morale after the victory in Bologna. We need to regain confidence, forget the last few outings, and express ourselves as close as possible to the levels expressed until a week ago, especially playing in front of our fans who have never failed to support the team. We will have to be good enough to deserve their support, starting with the simple things, such as limiting lost balls, controlling rebounds, being continuous in performance.”
