Michela Moioli will not take part in the Bakuriani rainbow event. The 28-year-old Bergamasque from the Centro Sportivo Esercito, who returned to competition in the World Cup stage held in Cortina last January 28 by placing eighth, has decided in agreement with the federation’s technical staff to skip the Georgian World Championships and close the season early.

“Unfortunately, my current level of competitiveness is not such as to allow me to compete for the top positions,” Michela recounted, “which is why we chose to skip the next circuit competitions and focus from now on planning future competitive commitments. Her place in the snowboardcross scheduled for Friday, March 3 (with qualifiers on Thursday, March 2) will be taken by Francesca Gallina, who will join Caterina Carpano, Raffaella Brutto and Sofia Belingheri, while Filippo Ferrari, Michele Godino, Lorenzo Sommariva and Omar Visintin will participate in the men’s SBX.
