Italrugby, Ange Capuozzo knocked out: Wales and Scotland at risk
Injury for Ange Capuozzo
Bad news for the Italian national rugby team and head coach Kieran Crowley ahead of the final two days of the Six Nations, against Wales and Scotland: Ange Capuozzo, Italy’s Azzurri three-quarter as well as the “Revelation Player of the Year” at the last World Rugby Awards, injured his left shoulder during the match against Ireland and is likely to miss the final of the Tournament.
“The medical staff of the Italian Men’s National Rugby Team, based on the results of the instrumental examinations carried out following the Italy v Ireland international match, informs that Ange Capuozzo has been found to have a musculoskeletal injury to his left shoulder,” reads a note released Tuesday evening by Fir.
“The athlete will carry out, under the supervision of the national team’s medical staff, further investigations at the next national team meeting to assess the rehabilitation pathway in view of the fourth and fifth day of the Guinness Six Nations 2023,” the Federation’s statement further specifies.
