Brescia, Magro: “Slapped in the face, now let’s get back up with Trieste.”
Germani Brescia coach: “Happy to be back playing at PalaLeonessa after a month”
Germani Brescia coach Alessandro Magro spoke ahead of the game against Trieste, scheduled for Sunday afternoon at PalaLeonessa: “We are happy to be back playing at PalaLeonessa after a month. We return to play at home again, at a time when we badly need the embrace of our fans after the feat in Turin. In addition, we must have a great sense of urgency, because we need to return to a victory that has been missing in the league for too long.”
The loss to Venice in the Eurocup hurts like hell: “The team trained after an important confrontation, games like the one we experienced in Venice sometimes give that slap in the face that we need to get our feet back on the ground and get back to understanding from the foundations of the game what we need to do.”
Trieste is a far from easy opponent: “We face a team that was built to reach the goal of salvation and is doing extremely well, coached in an excellent way by a Marco Legovich, whom I respect so much and who has managed to build a group of athletes and people who are able to perform at their best. The Trieste we face today is different from the one we faced in the first game: it lost Gaines, but signed a player like Terry who guarantees dynamism, explosiveness and athleticism and provides an above-average impact under the basket.”
