Lazio brakes in Bologna: 0-0, assault on second place fades
Only a tie after three wins, and the assault on second place fades.
Lazio halted by Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara, where Saturday evening’s Serie A matchday advance ended 0-0. Only one point then for the biancocelesti, who remain one point behind second-placed Inter. For the Felsinei, still seventh but only one point ahead of Juventus, which has one game less, there is no shortage of regrets, however.
In fact, the first chance of the match came from the hosts, with Barrow trying from distance but not accurate. Lazio then grows, but attempts by Pedro and Zaccagni do not scare Bologna. Instead, the Biancocelesti tremble on Kyriakopoulos’ cross, but Ferguson’s header only generates a post. Provedel and Skorupski then become protagonists in the final half, decisive on Barrow, Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson.
A crackling start also in the second half, with Kyriakopoulos and Zaccagni authors of two insidious but out-of-bounds conclusions. Then Lazio entered in difficulty, but Bologna did not take advantage. On the usual Kyriakopoulos is providential Lazzari, then it is mostly Barrow who tries. At least three chances by the Gambian, one of them directly from a corner. But even the Rossoblù goal in the end does not come.
