Departure for the Blue Women, who preferred not to force downhill
French skier Laura Gauche set the best time in the first run of the women’s downhill in Soldeu with a time of 1’32″33, ahead of Nina Ortlieb by 39 hundredths and Corinne Suter by 58.
More cautious were the Azzurre, the best of whom was Sofia Goggia, tenth at 1″88 from Gauche, followed by Federica Brignone at 1″91. In 13th place is Elena Curtoni with a delay of 1″98 from the leader, while 17/a Nicol Delago with a disadvantage of 2″24. In 19th place comes Laura Pirovano at 2″74 from the first, while it is 25/a Marta Bassino, who finishes 3″40 behind.
