Flattering balance at the end of the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup
Women’s alpine skiing is celebrating its golden moment. Trailed by Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone, Italy confirmed itself among the top nations in the discipline and set a new record for seasonal podiums, an impressive 26 compared to the previous record of 25 set in 2016/2017.
Ahead of them all were Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone: the skier from Bergamo, who won the downhill specialty cup, scored five victories and three second places. The Valle d’Aosta skier one win, five second places and one third place. Marta Bassino won one race and scored two second places and four third places. Elena Curtoni also did well with one win, two second places and one third place.
