Federico Pellegrino spoke at the end of the World Cup season that has seen him on the podium on eleven occasions between individual and team races, òoltre to silver in the team sprint at the World Championships in Planica. “I’m very happy with this season,” he says, “when the calendar came out last year I had thought that it would allow for a good placing in the overall because it enhanced the complete athletes, on the other hand I set out without setting myself any particular goal, except to tackle race by race waiting to see how things developed. And things went well right away, because I’ve been going strong since the Tour de Ski, the victory in Davos and the podiums at the beginning of the season got me back into the result-hunting mode that drove me all the way, with good results in the team races as well.”

“I made podium in the first stage and finished by getting on the podium in the final stage, to all that add the medal in the team sprint at the World Championships. I realized so many things about myself, I was always present and it means being on the piece both physically and mentally, the work done in thegi last two years paid off, it will be interesting to tell this to the younger ones as well to allow the whole movement to grow. I make a big thank you to the technicians who worked on the materials and my physique and to my family.”
