Marc Marquez: Jorge Lorenzo unabashedly tongue-in-cheek
Jorge Lorenzo in an interview with Cadena Ser spoke about the incident caused by Marc Marquez in Portimao: “In life you cannot get everything, which is to have an aggressive and spectacular Marquez and that this does not lead to crashes. It will be him eventually understanding that maybe sometimes it is better to settle for a few less wins and a few more points instead of a zero. But they will eventually be filings to his nature, he’s 30 years old now and he’s not going to change.”
According to Lorenzo, aggressive riding is part of Marquez’s DNA and cannot be changed: “He always races to win and takes all the risks he can. Whether the bike is competitive or not, whether he likes the track or not, he always tries to get the maximum. This sometimes results in crashes, and when it involves other riders then that’s when Race Direction has to intervene firmly to defend the riders.”
