Trento expels Brindisi, Lele Molin: “Deserved victory.”
Lele Molin’s words after the victory in Brindisi
Dolomiti Energia Trentino moves closer to the playoffs with an external victory at PalaPentassuglia: Brindisi is beaten and joined (with 28 points) in sixth place in the standings, occupied at this moment by Trento precisely by virtue of the success in Puglia with which it overturned the points difference in the direct clashes. The bianconeri beat Brindisi 73-86 (it had ended 68-78 in the first leg).
Lele Molin commented on his team’s success this way, “I think it was a well-deserved win, we wanted to play a game like this by lowering Brindisi’s percentages inside the area and we did a good job on their longs. This impact on defense gave us confidence, it allowed us not to pay dearly for a few lapses in offense. We won on a difficult court, it’s a success that brings us closer to the playoffs and that gratifies us. We are in a position to be masters of our own destiny, all the way: we interpreted the game well and did not allow Brindisi the usual flurries that especially at home it has been able to produce in the season.”
