F1, Gp Monte Carlo: Charles Leclerc lapidary on Ferrari’s Friday
Charles Leclerc critical despite second place in FP2
Second place in the second free practice session, less than a tenth of a second behind Max Verstappen, is not enough for Charles Leclerc, who on the sidelines of Friday’s sessions explains what needs to be improved in terms of approach.
“It was a complicated day,” Leclerc said in the mixed zone, “the car does not behave exactly as we would like. There is a need to further analyze the data we have collected and work more on the set-up: the goal is to find the right feeling to get the best possible result in qualifying.”
“The race? We haven’t tried anything yet, qualifying is very important here, we need to prepare it in the best possible way,” the Monegasque then concluded.
