Turin: two names pop up for the defense
Torino, eyes on Mavropanos and Szalai in case of Perr Schuurs’ farewell
Torino is bidding to be one of the most active clubs in this soccer market session, both inbound and outbound. On the disposals side, the main issue that has been holding court for several weeks now is that related to the future of Perr Schuurs, whose stay in the shadow of the Mole would seem to be anything but a foregone conclusion. The former Ajax defender is reportedly in the sights of several Premier League clubs, Crystal Palace and Liverpool above all. The Granata management, for its part, would already be following several profiles to replace the 1999-born player.
According to reports in “La Stampa,” the names that have reportedly gained the most momentum are Konstantinos Mavropanos of Stuttgart and Attila Szalai of Fenerbache. However, the Piedmontese club, for the Greek player, will have to deal with strong competition from several Serie A clubs, including Napoli, the Italian champions, which is looking for a defender after the sale of Kim Min-jae to Bayern Munich.
Inbound, Torino would also be working to reinforce the side lanes. The main profiles being followed would be Josh Doig of Verona and Junior Messias of AC Milan. While for the former the negotiations would already be at an advanced stage, for the former Crotone, on the other hand, there would only be cognitive contacts.
From next July 1, it will be possible to deposit the contracts for the players who will make up the teams’ rosters for the 2023/2024 season
