Reggiana, Jamar Smith doesn’t budge ahead of 2023-24 season
Pallacanestro Reggiana, Jamar Smith does not blurt out club ambitions
During an interview at the microphones of the "Resto del Carlino", American guard Jamar Smith è bluntly expressed himself on the ambitions of Pallacanestro Reggiana ahead of the 2023-24 season.
"I think it is under everyone’s eyes that we are a completely new team and therefore è normal that in this first phase we need to work harder and better than the others, raising each of us the level of individual responsibility, especially in the defensive phase, to get to be competitive. I think we have what we need to improve in our half court as well, because there are so many players who can hold the one-on-one and are physically gifted" debuted the US guard.
"Our chemistry è under construction and is improving day by day. I think it is normal that it is slightly more ù behind than teams that have maintained a core of players very similar to last season. We are working for this every day and we still have a lot of potential to express, and to do that all we have to do is follow with great confidence the indications of coach Priftis who will know how to bring it out. Only in a few months we will really understand what our real goals can be" added the'former UNICS Kazan.
"The first impact with Reggio è was great. It's a quiet, livable place and the company è è consists of good people and great professionals in both the coaching staff and the medical staff. This role of sixth man is certainly not è new for me: è what I have already done under the orders of coach Priftis in the past and it workedò very well, so I think it was natural to start from here and I will not needà any special adaptation" commented Jamar Smith.
