Ferrari, for Charles Leclerc it’s already surrender: “We did our best”
On Friday, words of surrender seem to come.
Charles Leclerc only fifth after qualifying at the Qatar Grand Prix, and the Monegasque moreover does not expect his Ferrari to grow over the weekend in Losail. He admitted as much himself without mincing words at the end of the day, framing the problems of the Maranello-based Rossa.
"In the first sector we were struggling a lot, especially in the exit laps I had big problems with the rear tires,‖ Leclerc explained to 'Sky Sport' -In the lap we were having difficulty with the high speed, so much so that when I was at the top I had to drop down a gear. This caused us to lose a lot of ground, and in Q2 I had to abort as many as two laps by making only one attempt. In the middle sector, however, we were really very fast".
The outlook towards Saturday and Sunday, moreover, is not good either. " We have already done the most with the material we had,” Leclerc admitted. “We need to find the pace now to be able to push tomorrow, but I think there is not much room for improvement. There'è the parc fermé regime, so we cannot correct the car's set-up more".
