Charles Leclerc forgets disqualification: “We made a mistake.”
Austin’s disqualification è already forgotten.
Charles Leclerc puts on a good face after the U.S. Grand Prix that saw him disqualified for excessive bottom wear on his Ferrari. And on Thursday leading up to the Mexican Grand Prix he accepts the FIA’s decision, while revealing that he is struggling with a particularly nagging physical problem.
"We talk about really small things, forò we were wrong. If there'è a rule, it has to be respected,& explained Leclerc to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' -When you reason about such small numbers, everything canò have a big influence. Even a pass I made on the curb a little too aggressively. Forò for us è it is difficult to say what we could have done, since the car did not signal noré report any damage. However, we have collected data so that we are on track for the future".
In Mexico, moreover, Ferrari drivers are struggling with less than ideal physical conditions. Carlos Sainz deserted the press conference due to an illness that has not yet been clarified, while Leclerc explained that he is suffering from a dental abscess. "This does not affect my performance. I get into the car after taking strong painkillers. A little bit of pain is there, I thought it was the wisdom tooth but è another kind of problem", explained the Monegasque.
