After the gold won in the mixed relay, the transalpine women demonstrate their superiority thanks to Julia Simon, who makes no mistakes and goes to take the most valuable medal with a time of 20’07″5, only 4″9 ahead of teammate Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, despite a mistake on the first polygon. Bronze for Lou Jeanmonnot, an error, and a gap from first of 40″8. Also completing the quartet was Sophie Chauveau, one error, and 44″2 gap.
Solid race for the two top blues, with perfect poles and some extra effort in the cross-country on the difficult Czech snow. Lisa Vittozzi finished in seventh place, 1’06″3 off the leader, while è tenth was Dorothea Wierer at 1’18″9: both, however, in a good position for Sunday’s pursuit.
Samuela Comola makes one mistake but closes at 2’19″7, while Michela Carrara with four mistakes è at 2’31″9.
Lisa Vittozzi: “I am not very satisfied, but I did what I could do. There’è someone who è stronger than me and I have to accept that. I felt pretty good, but when I saw the result I certainly did not rejoice. For the’chase the race è open”.
Dorothea Wierer: “I started with the thought of pushing as hard as I could. Today I had to make two zeros and I succeeded, we take a lot from the French who were the strongest team today. I think they found very good materials, and they are very strong athletes. All in all a positive competition, though. I feel better than in January and for me this è positive. For the’chase we have to look for the zero again and then we will see how the race” will develop.
Michela Carrara: “The second series of my race è was bad. Too bad becauseé I was fine. Objectively I have grown, forò to miss the race here è really a pity”.
Samuela Comola: “I got hard legs and lost a bit’ on the last lap, but with this snow it’s to be expected. It could have been something better, but è a race in line with the season”.
