Champions League, Arsenal-Porto 1-0 (4-2 on penalties, Gunners pass)

Arsenal makes up for its first-leg defeat against Porto and, after drawing the 1-0 first leg, defeats the Portuguese on penalties, taking full advantage of two mistakes from the penalty spot out of four attempts by the Dragoes. So it is the Gunners who celebrate qualification to the Champions League quarterfinals, in front of a friendly crowd at London&#39s Emirates Stadium.

It's a mistake in a disengagement by Wendell that started the action of the only goal scored during regulation time: è the 41'of the first half when Porto's left flanker actually delivered the ball to Odegaard, the Norwegian launched Trossard who did not miss the conclusion in front of Diogo Costa.

Arsenal would go on to score again in the second half, at 68', with Odegaard, but French referee Turpin considers that a holding by Havertz against Pepe vitiated the action and thus cancels the goal. The result does not change anymore until the triple whistle and it goes to extra time, but not even at extra time the two teams manage to overcome each other. Inevitable the lottery of penalties.

From the penalty spot the gunners made it four for four, with Diogo Costa failing to oppose the conclusions of Odegaard, Havertz, Saka and Rice. On the other side, Pepè (Portuguese striker, not to be confused with his almost namesake teammate in the defense) and Grujic scored, Wendell and Galeno missed: the latter's mistake handed Arsenal qualification.
