Alvaro Morata reveals a market backstory

During an interview given to the microphones of the "Gazzetta dello Sport", Atletico Madrid center forward Alvaro Morata, among the various topics discussed, wanted to reveal a sensational backstory regarding his possible return to Italy in the last summer market session, admitting that he had contacts with several Serie A clubs.

"I was in a particular situation, with an expiring contract with Atletico. I renewed it by varying my economic conditions quite a lot because of financial fairplay issues and also the aspects related to a possible sale. In the summer they showed up from Milan, then several coaches from Italian clubs called me. I liked the idea of going to Roma and Roma, to play with Paulo Dybala and in a club and a society full of passion where you live soccer like in South America. With Inzaghi we have known each other for years, we found each other on vacation, è an incredible coach and a spectacular person to spend time with and talk" began the Spanish center forward.

"Sì. With the Italian clubs there’were contractual difficulties, but what changed everything è was a chat with Simeone. And here I would like to say one thing: many people think and say that the two of us didn’t get along. It è not true, we had a very good relationship. That last summer è improved, because we got to know each other better on a personal level. On the footballing level, everything was already clear, we took a step forward on the level of mutual knowledge, and it helped both of us: I have never played as many starting games with Atletico as I did this year, and a lot of goals" came too, added the former Juventus player.

"I am very well at Atletico and so is my family. Però I am no longer 23-24 years old and we will have to see what ideas the club has about me. Let&#39s say that at the moment I don&#39t know anything, but you never know what canò happen in the soccer market" Alvaro Morata has commented.
