Women’s World Cup: another win for Italy, Slovakia knocked out

The Italian women’s national team scored its second consecutive victory in the Women’s World Cup Division I Group B in Riga, beating Slovakia 3 to 2. It was a prestigious success, as the Slovak national team was the only team still undefeated in the tournament. The last five minutes saw an incredible turnaround: Niccolai scored the equalizing goal, followed by the decisive goal by Caumo, who scored a brace, just 30 seconds from the end, giving Italy three points, now at six.
