Lopetegui dumped by AC Milan flies to Premier: there'è the agreement
It's definitely skipped the Julen Lopetegui option for Milan: the Spanish coach, a few days ago one step away from the Rossoneri bench, has found an agreement with a Premier League club, West Ham. The former Sevilla and Real Madrid man was very close to an agreement with the Diavolo, but negotiations foundered partly because of clear opposition from the vast majority of fans.
On social media, the #Nopetegui hashtag had gone viral: the Rossoneri fans demanded a more successful coach and pushed the club, which had been on the trail of the Iberian coach for months, to desist.
The controversy prompted Lopetegui to choose the Premier League option: the Spaniard's entourage, according to Sky, has found a two-year agreement with West Ham, and all that is missing is the announcement and the signing of the contract.
Lopetegui will take over from David Moyes and return immediately to the Premier League after his experience at Wolverhampton. Milan is now reasoning about two names out of all for the post-Pioli post: Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Conceiçao.
