A draw that especially scares the hosts.

Bari-Ternana ended 1-1, but the first act of the Serie B playout definitely makes the Umbrians happier. In fact, the first leg of the challenge that is worth staying in the cadetteria saw the Rossoverdi because of the better position conquered in the league (with an equal score between the first leg and the second leg, salvation will be theirs). Having suffered a comeback draw, in the final game, then triggered anger and booing from the home crowd.

For Bari, actually, the night at the San Nicola began on a good note. Credit to Sibilli, who just 30 seconds after the opening whistle hits the post. Then però Ternana goes wild, very dangerous with Pereiro, Carboni and Distefano. The guests’ verve is rewarded at 11'11', when a penalty for a foul by Nasti on Carboni arrives. Hero becomes forò Pissardo, who in two times neutralizes Casasola’s transformation.

Pereiro tries to rebuild Ternana’s morale with a new chance, after which forò Bari woke up with Bellomo finally dangerous. But è only a moment: before halftime even two red-green poles arrive, hit by Distefano and the usual Gaston Pereiro.

Having survived Ternana’s flurry attacks, Bari seemed to start the second half with newfound spirit: Nasti misses by a nonnulla the underhand deflection on Sibilli’s initiative, then Di Cesare misses the goal by a whisker with a great header. The goal è in the air and arrived at 59', when Ricci drilled the host defense and provided Nasti with a ball that only had to be headed back into the net.

Ternana però did not give up, and almost immediately Pissardo still had to overcome himself on Distefano. Sibilli, Pucino and Puscas could close the accounts for Bari, but at 82'82' comes the equalizer: Pereiro himself signed it, served by Casasola and helped by a decisive deflection of Di Cesare. The hosts could not find a way to react and arrived at the end of the match amid the booing of their fans.
