Marcell Jacobs only third in the 100 meters in Ostrava

Marcell Jacobs disappoints in the 100 meters at the Ostrava meet. On the wet track of the Golden Spike, the Italian did not è go beyond third place, running in 10'19. Triumphing è was Canadian Andre De Grasse, Jacobs’ training partner in Jacksonville, in 10'10, ahead of Jamaican Ryiem Forde (10'17).

“I am not worried, becauseé I feel the legs are going and can go much stronger, but now we have to put all the pieces" commented Jacobs to the official FIDAL channels, at the end of the third outing of the season after the 10.11 in Jacksonville and the 10.07 in the Marbles.

"Today it è not gone bad: it è went very bad – the Olympic champion then stressed – After 40 meters I felt I was in a running set-up that was not right. I started to lose my legs behind and from that moment I struggled. I expected all’other sensations, I had no power and speed. I think forò it improved the first part: now I have to put it together with the second.

"We have Oslo in two days and we will try to do that, to try to run strong for the European Championships in Rome. È so much has changed in the last few months, so many things I haven’t made them automatic yet, it will take a little more’ time" Jacobs closed.
