With just under a week to go before the start of the 2024 European Championships, good news is arriving from the infirmary as far as Italy and Luciano Spalletti are concerned. The instrumental examinations to which Nicolò Barella underwent, in fact, showed the expected progress in the recovery from the muscle strain suffered a few days before the friendly match drawn 0-0 with Turkey.

The player will continueà therefore, the pre-established work program, with a view to being reintegrated into the group in the coming days" this is the note issued by the FIGC.
The Inter midfielder is expected to return to full training in the coming sessions. Luciano Spalletti, however, could decide to preserve the player regardless by perhaps giving him a competitive break in the debut match with Albania. The intention of the Azzurri coach, in fact, would be to give the player time to fully recover from the injury, so as to avoid unpleasant relapses.
Should Barella not be risked from the 1', in the middle of the field with Jorginho there should be one among Cristante, Frattesi and Fagioli.
