Italian Cup: results
The last four matches valid for the 32nd finals of the Coppa Italia saw victories for Pisa, Lecce, Salernitana and Cagliari. Pisa overwhelmed Frosinone at the ’Stirpe’ with a net 3-0 thanks to goals by Tramoni and Bonfanti in the first half and Arena in the final match. A narrow victory, on the other hand, for Lecce, which overcame Mantova 2-1 at home: goals by Gaspar and Krstovic for the Salentini, Bragantini’s goal for the Lombards.
Goals and spectacle at the Arechi di Salerno: Spezia goes ahead 2-0 with Candelari and Soleri, Kallon halves the disadvantage for the granata but the same Soleri brings the Ligurians back ahead by two; a double by Dia in the final però puts everything back on the table and takes the challenge to penalties where the Campani prevail.
Finally, Cagliari did not stint with Carrarese. All’Unipol Domus ends 3-1 for the Sardinians with goals by Piccoli, Pavoletti and Prati, by Panico the flagship goal for the Tuscans.
Pisa, Lecce, Salernitana and Cagliari thus advance to the round of 16: the Nerazzurri will face Cesena, the Giallorossi will face Sassuolo, the Granata will take on Udinese and the Rossoblù will find Cremonese.
