MotoGp, VR46: Pablo Nieto sends message to Fabio Di Giannantonio
Di Giannantonio, Pablo Nieto speaks: "We expect him soon on the track"
At the conclusion of the Motomondiale weekend in Austria, Pablo Nieto, team manager of Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing, took stock of a three-day two-sided event: on the one hand the satisfaction for Marco Bezzecchi, in the Top 10 in both the Sprint Race and the Sunday race, on the other hand the sorrow for the shoulder injury suffered on Friday by Fabio Di Giannantonio, forced to skip the rest of the weekend.
"A bitter sweet Gp – explained Nieto -: on the one hand the bad fall of Fabio that forced him to abandon the race, on the other hand a weekend, but above all a very solid race of Marco who was able to stay always with the group of protagonists. It was needed, already in Silverstone the feelings were very good and here he further materialized. He feels more comfortable driving, the performance is better and the morale rises".
The former Spanish rider, one of the representatives of the motorcycle dynasty that has as its progenitor Angel Nieto senior, 13 times world champion (6 in the 50 class, 7 in 125), wanted to send a message to Di Giannantonio: "Too bad for Fabio – he said -, we remain waiting for the last medical checks in Italy and we expect him on the track as soon as possible to continue to grow further".
The injury that forced Di Giannantonio to stop has interrupted a series of important results for the Roman rider, who was among the top 10 in the Sunday race in nine of the 10 races held up to Silverstone. The best result of the season, so far, è the fourth place obtained in Assen, just one second behind the third place finisher, Enea Bastianini.
