Vero Volleyball Milan prepares for the new season
Vero Volleyball Milano turns the spotlight on the new season: while waiting for the return to the group of the four new Olympic champions (Paola Egonu, Alessia Orro, Myriam Sylla and the returning Anna Danesi), è the new coach of the vice-European champion club, Stefano Lavarini, to define the prospects of the year that is about to begin.
"There are good emotions and great motivation to have a positive season in an important context,” said the coach, who returned to coach an Italian club after his experience at Fenerbahce.
We will start our preparation in a gradual way, combining physical and technical training, in order to arrive in the best possible condition to work, then, on the system of play and our volleyball".
"Definitely,” Lavarini added, “it will be a busy season and we need to find a good understanding and continuity right away. Step by step, we need to build a positive and constructive working environment. Fortunately, we have great ambitions and the opportunity to express ourselves in many events".
Lavarini will keep the double position by remaining coach of Poland women’s team, which he also led in Paris 2024: "It’ an event – he said speaking of the Olympic Games – that represents a dream for everyone involved in sports, then, at that moment you è focus on the result and what you want è always do the best you can. We finished with a historic sixth place and I think we can be satisfied with what we achieved".
