The preseason tournament in Jesolo ended with a knockout for Reyer Venezia. The Orogranata, in fact, were defeated in the final of the Silvestrin Memorial by Nutribullet Treviso with a score of 84-79. The coach of the lagoon players, in a press conference, wanted to analyze this defeat in no uncertain terms, not hiding some concerns.

"Physically we are at the right point while at the level of basketball played we are still very far from what we want to be. It depends on the fact that we are not full yet and we have to deal with some defections. Fortunately, these are not serious injuries, but they are still absences that affect and limit the construction of the game" began Reyer Venezia’s head coach.

"In the friendly with Treviso the last 12'we showed our true face. The goal è to be able to maintain that level of basketball for all 40' with the same attitude and energy. The good thing is that we are just in the first part of September and it is normal that we are not able to express the best basketball, but it is always the right time to try to raise the level, and the guys are doing that,” added the head coach of the Orogranata.

"This week we will work very hard and analyze the games we played to correct those details that led us to defeat. The goal è to arrive at the tournament in Lucca with a different face and motivation" concluded Neven Spahija.
