Juventus, Cristiano Giuntoli thinks about two former “Italians”
The absences of Bremer and Milik are a problem
There's some turmoil in the Juventus household. Blame Bremer's injury (season over) and Milik's long stay (still under the knife, return for January). Two absences that could convince Giuntoli to return to the market, during the winter window, to bring home a defender and a deputy Vlahovic.
For the defense, there continues to be talk of former Inter player Skriniar. The Slovakian has no space at PSG and would seem inclined to return to Italy. The real problem concerns his salary. Skriniar, at PSG, draws a salary of as much as nine million euros per season. A lot for Juventus’ coffers.
Giuntoli would also be monitoring possible bargains at the striker level. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, one hot name would be that of Beto. The 26-year-old Portuguese striker naturalized Guinean is struggling in his second year at Everton (a club controlled by the Friedkins, the same ownership as Roma).
The former Udinese man, by characteristics, would be a perfect Vlahovic deputy. He has the right physicality to make himself felt in the penalty area and knows how to dialogue with his teammates on a technical level. Be careful, a lot will depend on FRiedkin, who might consider dressing Beto in yellow and red, considering that Roma would also need another center forward. Juventus is waiting at the window, ready to step up (the ideal would be a loan for six months).
