Australian Open, Novak Djokovic to the round of 16 in fluency

Novak Djokovic in the round of 16
After making it through the first two rounds by losing a set in each match, Novak Djokovic regained his full form and disposed of a rather tricky opponent on paper, world number 25 Tomas Machac, in three sets. Nothing to vare for the emerging Czech: Nole imposed himself in just over two hours of play 6-1, 6-4, 6-4, at the end of a literally one-sided match.
Djokovic, who in previous contests had overcome first the American Ninesh Basavareddy and then the Portuguese Jaime Faria by three sets to one, started off strong immediately and conceded only the second game to his opponent in the first set, wasting among other things no less than three break points. From there on è a monologue, leading the Serbian champion to the victory of the fraction.
The second set was more balanced, with Machac immediately winning a break in his own favor and taking a 2-0 lead: Noleè s response, however, in a partial four games to zero that immediately reversed the inertia, bringing the match back on favorable tracks for the multiple world number 1, currently ranked seventh in the ATP world rankings.
Djokovic began with the accelerator well pressed in the third set as well, immediately winning a game on his opponent’s serve. From there on he easily controlled and went on to win without any particular difficulty. In his twenty-first appearance at the Australian Open (won ten times), Djokovic thus reached at least the round of 16 for the eighteenth time. He è stopped before only as a very young player, in 2005 and 2006, and in the 2017 edition, surprised by Uzbekistan's Istomin.
