Just over a week to the’start of Frecciarossa Italian Cup Finals the event that will be held at’Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, metropolitan city of Bologna, on Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9, 2025, organized in collaboration with Master Group Sport.

The first step towards the event will be the arrival of the cup in Bologna, scheduled for Monday, February 3. Among the great novelties of the 2024-25 season of the Women’s Volleyball League, an important space è in fact, reserved for the creation of the new trophies of the LVF-branded competitions. Part of the rebranding project started during 2021, the renewal of the cups è only the ’latest in chronological order to see the light. A choice that goes in the direction of making the Italian women’s volleyball movement more and more unique and recognizable, which has decided to replace the classic cups present in the catalog with unique trophies, created specifically for the Supercup, the Italian Cup and the Serie A1 and Serie A2 championships.

Crucial in the creation process was the contribution of Bartoccini Premiazioni, a company affiliated with Bartoccini Gioiellerie. A’leading Italian company in the industry and already the maker of international awards for Formula1 and MotoGP stages. Moreover, the company had already collaborated with LVF for the CAD design of the new Lega Volley Summer Tour 2023 cup.

It è was therefore decided to rely on Federico Fondacci, head of Bartoccini Premiazioni, thanks also to his valuable and effective collaboration with the’University of Perugia and, in particular, with the Facultyà of Engineering, degree course in Design. The connection è came spontaneously: starting a creative process that could involve the students of the course è became an integral part of the project.

More than 30 students took part in the initiative, producing eight different works and more than 45 trophies. Each individual project embodied a philosophy, which integrated the world of volleyball within hundreds of drawings and sketches that later became cups, plaques, medals and gadgets. The trophy chosen for the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa è was designed by Francesca Giacomino, Martina Malatesta and Diego Salgarello. In this revisited version with the contribution of Federico Fondacci, the tricolor dominates by exploding both vertically, symbolizing the continuous upward thrust of the movement, and in the resin that connects the two parts of the cup, filled with green, white and red confetti to give further Italian connotation to the trophy.

After the Supercoppa, made by Noemi Floridia, Maddalena Mencuccini and Laura Anna Rech and already presented in the’September event along with the new medals and the MVP award, and while waiting for the Serie A1 and Serie A2 trophies to be revealed, two versions of the new cup will be up for grabs, for the first time, at the Final Four of the Italian Cup Frecciarossa A1 and Final Four of the Italian Cup Frecciarossa A2 at the’Unipol Arena.
